In December 2024, Green Team Partnership commissioned a 123.54 kWp multi-site solar rollout at Woodyfuel’s Winterton biomass production facility, the first stage of a wider Net Zero programme that has since continued at Alnwick and Cramlington in Northumberland.
The system’s 284 JA 435W modules are projected to save around £22-23k per year in energy costs. On the strength of this installation’s proven performance, GTP was subsequently awarded new Woodyfuel projects at Alnwick and Cramlington.
Impact and benefits
- Substantial annual savings. Around £22-23k a year in reduced electricity costs delivers a rapid return on investment.
- A scalable blueprint. This installation set the template now being rolled out across further Woodyfuel sites.
- Carbon leadership. Direct support for Net Zero targets and ESG credentials in the renewable energy sector.
- Earned repeat business. Alnwick and Cramlington followed because Winterton performed.
