South Shields DHL Warehouse – 366kWp Solar PV Installation
In April 2025, Green Team Partnership secured a competitive tender to deliver a 366kWp Solar PV system at a major warehouse site in South Shields. With DHL set to occupy the building, the installation will significantly reduce operational energy costs and carbon output.
The system features 804 JA Solar 455W modules, mounted on a trapezoidal roof using specialist equipment for maximum efficiency. It includes six high-performance inverters, a G99 control board, and real-time energy monitoring, giving the client full visibility over their renewable energy generation and savings.
DHL Project Impact and Benefits
- Significant Energy Cost Reduction: With 366kWp of generation capacity, the site can produce substantial clean electricity, lowering annual grid dependency and protecting the tenant from rising energy prices.
- Sustainability and ESG Alignment: The project contributes to DHL’s carbon-reduction commitments, helping them meet sustainability targets and improve their environmental reporting metrics.
- Enhanced Property Value: The system adds long-term asset value by improving the site’s energy performance rating, an important factor for commercial property investors and tenants alike.
- Low-Maintenance, Long-Lifespan Design: Quality components and professional installation ensure minimal maintenance and reliable operation for decades.
- Real-Time Monitoring: Live data tracking helps site managers monitor energy production and system health, ensuring ongoing optimisation and transparency.
