In April 2025, Green Team Partnership secured a competitive tender to deliver a 366 kWp commercial solar system at a major warehouse site in South Shields. With DHL set to occupy the building, the installation significantly reduces operational energy costs and carbon output from day one of occupation.

The system carries 804 JA Solar 455W modules, mounted on a trapezoidal roof using specialist equipment for maximum efficiency, with six high-performance inverters, a G99 control board and real-time energy monitoring giving full visibility of generation and savings.

Impact and benefits

  • Serious generation capacity. 366 kWp of clean electricity lowers annual grid dependency and shields the tenant from rising energy prices.
  • ESG alignment. The project contributes directly to DHL’s carbon-reduction commitments and environmental reporting.
  • Enhanced property value. Better energy performance strengthens the site’s rating, which matters to commercial investors and tenants alike.
  • Low-maintenance design. Quality components and professional installation keep the system producing for decades.
  • Full transparency. Live monitoring lets site managers track output and system health continuously.
