Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-01

This is the privacy policy for greenteampartnership.co.uk (the “Website”), which is operated by Green Team Partnership Ltd (“GTP”, “we”, “us”), registered office: First Floor, Burnfoot House, Hexham Business Park, Burn Lane, Hexham, NE46 3RU. Registered in England and Wales, company number 07839552.

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For any data protection query, contact info@greenteampartnership.co.uk or write to the registered office above.

1. Information we collect

  • Enquiry details you give us. When you contact us by phone, email or through the quote assistant on this Website, we collect the details you provide, typically your name, contact details, property address and information about your energy usage or project.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the Website running.

We do not run advertising or sell personal data.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes you have asked for;
  • deliver and administer contracted work, including surveys, installations, warranty and maintenance;
  • meet legal obligations, including certification and tax requirements;
  • with your consent, tell you about services relevant to a previous enquiry or installation. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@greenteampartnership.co.uk.

Our lawful bases are: performance of a contract (or steps you ask us to take before one), legitimate interests in running and securing the Website and responding to enquiries, legal obligation, and consent where stated.

3. Third-party services on this Website

  • Quote assistant. The quote chat on this Website is provided by a third-party chat service that loads when you open a quote. Information you enter into it is processed by that provider on our behalf to deliver your enquiry to us, and the assistant asks you to agree to its own privacy terms before it takes those details.
  • Google Maps is available on our contact and about pages behind a click. The map you see first is a static image served from our own website and involves no third party. If you choose Get directions, Google loads the interactive map, processes your IP address and may set its own cookies; see the Google privacy policy. Nothing is sent to Google unless you click.
  • Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics may load if you allow analytics cookies and we have configured them on the site. When active, they help us understand how visitors use the Website. See the Google privacy policy.

Links to other websites are outside our control and carry their own privacy policies.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a cookie banner when you first visit the Website. You can Accept all optional cookies, Reject them (necessary cookies only), or open Preferences to choose by category.

  • Necessary cookies remember your cookie choices and cannot be switched off. This is a single cookie, cc_cookie, which expires after 6 months.
  • Analytics cookies cover Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics when we have configured them. They only load if you allow analytics. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies, which expire after 2 years. Opening a quote loads the quote assistant, which has its own consent step before it collects your details.

The interactive Google Map on the contact and about pages loads only when you click Get directions; that click is your request for Google’s service, and no Google cookies are set before it.

You can change your mind at any time using Manage cookies in the footer, which reopens the preferences panel. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant scripts from loading on your next visit; you may need to clear existing cookies in your browser for full effect.

We do not use advertising cookies on this Website.

5. How long we keep data

Enquiry data that does not lead to a quote or contract is deleted within 12 months of our last contact with you. Records connected to quotes and installations are retained for the life of the warranties, certifications and legal requirements that apply to the work, and financial records for 6 years as required by tax law.

6. Sharing and storage

We share personal data only with service providers who process it for us (such as the provider of our quote assistant, our hosting provider, and certification bodies where required for your installation), where the law requires disclosure, or in connection with a sale of the business. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep data secure.

7. Transfers outside the UK

Some of the providers we use operate outside the UK, including Google, whose services may involve transfers to the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or adequacy regulations made by the UK government. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.

8. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, all free of charge. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out beforehand. To exercise any right, email info@greenteampartnership.co.uk; we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We keep this policy under review and will post any changes on this page with an updated date.
