As part of South Tyneside Council’s sustainability programme, Green Team Partnership delivered a 103.75 kWp school rooftop system at Horsley Hill Campus in Tyne and Wear, one of three council schools completed in 2023 alongside West Boldon Primary and Hedworthfield Primary.
The installation demanded a bespoke design for the roof’s curved structure and TPO membrane. We developed a specialised fixing process using hot welds and dual liquid sealing so that every penetration was watertight and durable, and delivered on schedule despite the technical challenge.
Impact and benefits
- Tailored engineering. Custom mounting overcame complex roof conditions without compromising structure or waterproofing.
- Reliable clean power. Steady generation cuts the school’s grid use and utility costs.
- Sustainability in education. Environmental responsibility embedded visibly in local schools.
- Three for three. All Council school projects delivered safely, on time and to specification, with strong client feedback.
