South Tyneside Council – Solar Panels
Bespoke Solar Panel System
South Tyneside Council – Horsley Hill Campus – 103.75kWp solar PV system
As part of South Tyneside Council’s sustainability programme, Green Team Partnership delivered a 103.75kWp solar PV system at Horsley Hill Campus, one of three council schools completed in 2023. Earlier that year, the team also installed systems at West Boldon Primary School and Hedworthfield Primary, reinforcing the Council’s commitment to renewable energy in education.
This installation required a bespoke design to accommodate the roof’s curved structure and TPO membrane. A specialised fixing process was developed using hot welds and dual liquid sealing to ensure every penetration was watertight and durable. Despite the technical challenges, the project was completed on schedule and met all client quality expectations.
